Annie Rife writes contemporary romance books. The books all contain lovable characters who, just like everyone else, have quirks and foibles. They aren't perfect and don't always make the right choices, but all the stories have a happy ending. That is, after all, what makes romance such a wonderful genre to write in.

Aside from being slightly quirky, some of the characters possess extrasensory skills. Many have heightened senses, some have prognosticating dreams, and still others talk to spirits. These make the characters who they are and add an exciting element to the stories. Because in addition to this, most stories contain elements of suspense and mystery, and all contain bits of well-placed humor.

When is a coincidence a sign, and when is it just a coincidence?

Special Agent Alexander Bruinski is well known throughout the Pacific Northwest for having a disagreeable personality and for his ability to solve unsolvable cases. When all avenues have been exhausted, Xander gets called in to take over. When he gets assigned to investigate the murder of two police officers, the last thing Xander expects is to be thrown into another murder investigation, or to deal with the tempting, fiery-haired witness who's involved with it.

Danika Brady is more or less happy with her life. She has her late adoptive mother's New Age store to run, and she has the company of Iago, her witty, Irish Gaelic spirit guide. Dani's skills as a spiritual medium land her in all sorts of uncomfortable situations, but when she witnesses a murder in one of her visions, she comes face to face with one arrogant Special Agent who gets her Irish temper flaring.

When Dani becomes the killer’s next target, Xander takes her under his protection, but the closer they get to solving the case, the closer they get to each other. Read Chapter One

Danika Brady had a vision of a woman being burned at the stake. Now her vision has become a reality — not once, but three times.

The feisty medium was given “special advisor” status to help FBI Special Agent Alexander Bruinski crack his last case. When that case ended, Dani figured that her role was over. But as Xander prepares to come off medical leave, his boss, Raymond Zane, has other ideas. The first case he gives Xander as he returns to active duty is to investigate the murder of a woman — the woman from Dani’s vision.

Dani has been left unprotected against the turbulence of the spirit world now that Iago, her longtime Gaelic spirit guide, has disappeared. When she probes the other side on her own at great risk to herself, she makes a startling discovery that leads to awkward moments and gets her Irish temper flaring. But Iago may not actually be gone — just relocated. Xander is getting headaches and chest pains, and it might just have something to do with the witty, rugby-loving spirit guide. That’s bad news for an agent who needs his computational mind clear to get the job done.

The women are being burned the morning after a full moon, and now two more women have gone missing. As the next full moon approaches, Xander and Dani need to use every resource they can, both in this world and in the mysteriously unsettled spirit realm, to find the killer before one of the missing women becomes the subject of Dani’s next Vision of Fire.

She was nothing he wanted but everything he needed. From the first time he met her, Sergei Tigarov was drawn to the unassuming woman he’d accidentally bumped with his elbow. Jamie made Tiger feel emotions he thought he’d buried long ago, but the more he fought the attraction, the more his thoughts were pulled in her direction.

He was everything she’d ever wanted but something she didn’t think she deserved. Jamie Walsh had been infatuated with defenseman Sergei Tigarov ever since her uncle introduced her to the game of hockey when she was eighteen. Actually meeting him was quite different from what she’d expected. The more time they spent together, the less Jamie believed that Tiger was too good to be true.

Both Tiger and Jamie have been hurt in the past by the one they loved, but each has dealt with that hurt in very different ways. When their worlds collide, can Jamie and Tiger overcome those differences to realize the passionate happily ever after they both deserve?

Read Chapter Two
Jarrod Stone is the lead singer of the red-hot rock band, The Walking Dead. When he and Greg Chambers, the band’s manager, are approached by Jonathon Beeble, self-proclaimed Storyteller of the Stars, to do an authorized documentary of the band, Jarrod agrees, but only if Jonathon Beeble’s super cute assistant, Susie Clarkston, is the one who does the interviews.

Susie Clarkston is unhappy in her current job and makes up her mind to begin the search for a new one just as soon as she gets back to sunny Los Angeles. But she gets talked into posing as Jarrod Stone’s new girlfriend for the remainder of the band’s tour to do a documentary that she doesn’t want to do. She discovers what she thinks is a secret that Jarrod has been hiding from the world. Rather than let his secret be made public, Susie ends up quitting her job and working as the band’s make-up artist.

Jarrod finds in Susie someone who accepts his many quirks and foibles. Susie finds in Jarrod someone who is open-minded and just as lost as she is.
